The follower who ghosted me taught me this.
The most painful feedback I've ever received came from a ghost follower

"In the next 3 minutes, you'll discover why your most engaged followers stop commenting - and the conversation strategy that prevents the fade before it happens."
Dear Beloved Reader,
I killed my most engaged follower by accident.
Her name was Sarah. She used to comment on everything, share my posts, even email me photos of her implementing my advice.
Then one day, she just... stopped.
Not unfollowed. Not blocked. Just went silent.
"I found out why six months later when I reached out to ask what happened. Her response hit hard: "I felt like I was just another number. Like you were talking at thousands of people, not to me."
That hit different.
Because Sarah wasn't wrong. I'd gotten so obsessed with growing my audience that I forgot they were individual humans with individual problems.
I was broadcasting to "my audience" instead of having conversations with people like Sarah.
Here's what I wish someone had told me earlier:
Your followers aren't a crowd. They're a collection of individuals who each decided you were worth their attention.
And attention is a two-way street.
The fix isn't more content. It's more connection.
Try this next week:
End every post with "What's your take?" instead of generic CTAs
Share an unfinished idea and ask them to help you solve it
Post a "This or That" choice about your next content and let them vote in comments
Share a mistake and ask "How would you have handled this differently?"."
Share a behind-the-scenes moment and ask "Anyone else relate to this chaos?"
The goal: Make it easier to respond than to scroll past.
But here's the real test: Can you name three people who regularly engage with your content? Not their handles - their actual situations, what they're struggling with, what they've told you?
If not, you might be talking at people instead of with them.
Sarah taught me that engagement isn't about algorithms. It's about making people feel like they matter to you as individuals.
Because they do.
Oh — and I have to share this. Want the secret sauce?
"Hit reply with 'PRICING' and I'll share the psychology trick that made clients stop negotiating my rates"
P.S. Sarah's doing amazing now, by the way. We chat regularly. Sometimes the best followers are the ones brave enough to tell you the truth.
Want to share your truth? How do you feel about this womanpreneur space? Hit reply - I'd love to hear from you.
With magic and wisdom,
